At the end of April, hundreds of Holocaust survivors and World War II veterans will gather at the Museum on the occasion of its 20th anniversary. For what they have endured, for the sacrifices they have made, and for the experiences they have recounted to the world—we will honor them. As the Holocaust recedes in time and the eyewitness generation grows older, this may be our last chance to hear their stories in their own words and to make this promise: We will remember.
You, too, can participate in this special moment by writing a personal note to a survivor or veteran with your pledge to remember them: http://act.ushmm.org/Pay-Tribute.
